Chillventa 2026: Pfeiffer Presents Solutions for Reliable Leak Detection in Refrigeration Systems and Data Centers

From October 13 to 15, 2026, Pfeiffer Vacuum+Fab Solutions will showcase its solutions for industrial leak testing at Chillventa in Nuremberg.

At Booth 6–440 in Hall 6, the focus will be on the OmniDetect automated test system and the ASM 306 S leak detector. With expanding data center capacities, the rising energy demands of AI applications and increasingly stringent sustainability requirements, reliable testing of cooling and refrigeration systems is becoming more important than ever. It helps prevent refrigerant emissions, enhances energy efficiency and ensures the continuous availability of critical infrastructure.

Tightness as a prerequisite for availability and efficiency

Whether heat exchangers, pipelines, valves or complete cooling modules, all components of a cooling system must be reliably leak-tight. Even the smallest leaks can cause refrigerant to escape, cooling performance to drop and energy consumption to increase. In data centers, this can jeopardize the availability of business-critical IT systems in the worst-case.

In addition, refrigerants released into the atmosphere can harm the environment and conflict with the sustainability objectives of many organizations. Reliable leak testing is therefore much more than just quality assurance: It helps reduce emissions and ensures the long-term operational safety of equipment.

OmniDetect: Automated leak testing for the highest quality requirements

With the standardized OmniDetect leak detection system, Pfeiffer offers a high-performance solution for automated leak testing of components and assembly groups. The system was developed to reliably identify leaks during production, helping manufacturers avoid costly rework, warranty claims and field failures.

Thanks to its modular design, OmniDetect can be flexibly adapted to different test requirements. Manufacturers benefit from fully automated measurement and short test times. In addition, the results can be easily reproduced. At the same time, its high detection sensitivity enables the reliable detection of even the smallest leaks. This is particularly important for components used in refrigeration systems, heat pumps and critical data cooling applications.
With OmniDetect, companies can ensure that only flawless components leave manufacturing. This is an important prerequisite for the high uptime and efficiency of modern cooling infrastructures.

ASM 306 S: Precise leak detection directly on site

Complementing its automated leak testing solutions, Pfeiffer will also showcase the ASM 306 S tracer gas leak detector for the fast and reliable localization of leaks. The robust and mobile device is suitable for production environments as well as service and maintenance applications.

The ASM 306 S sniffing leak detector enables the precise detection of even the smallest leaks with helium or forming gas, helping users to quickly identify and rectify sources of faults. Thanks to its high sensitivity, rapid response times and easy operation, the ASM 306 S delivers fast measurement results and therefore reduces downtime. This makes it an ideal solution for manufacturers and operators of refrigeration and cooling systems that demand the highest standards of quality and reliability.

From feasibility study to finished test solution

Each application has individual requirements in terms of leak testing. That is why Pfeiffer supports its customers with comprehensive feasibility studies as soon as the early project phase. The experts analyze components, tightness requirements, test times and production conditions, evaluate various test procedures and develop an optimized leak test concept based on these findings.

This approach enables customers to identify the best technical and economic solution before investing. From the initial analysis and the development of the test procedure to the integration into series production, Pfeiffer supports the entire process from a single source. At Chillventa 2026, visitors will have the opportunity to discuss this comprehensive offering directly with the experts from Pfeiffer on site.
