Busch Group Sparks Interest in Tech Careers on Girls’ Day 2026

On Girls’ Day 2026, the Busch Group once again opened its doors to young female students, offering them a first-hand look into the world of technical professions. Across its sites in Maulburg and Asslar, the company welcomed a total of 36 participants eager to explore career paths beyond traditional expectations.

Thirteen girls aged between 12 and 14 visited the company headquarters in Maulburg, while a further 23 participants joined the program at Pfeiffer Vacuum+Fab Solutions in Asslar. Throughout the day, the students were introduced to different technical fields and gained insights into the everyday working environment of an international technology company.

Girls’ Day aims to encourage young girls to discover opportunities in professions where women remain underrepresented. By engaging directly with technical teams and experiencing real-world applications, participants were able to broaden their perspectives and challenge common stereotypes about career choices.

For many years, the Busch Group has participated in this initiative, opening its doors to the next generation and showcasing the diversity and potential of technical careers. The program continues to create meaningful encounters that help spark early interest in science, engineering, and vocational training pathways.

“We see Girls’ Day as an excellent opportunity to encourage girls to explore new paths and develop their strengths independently of traditional role models. Still, relatively few young women choose to pursue vocational training or university studies in technical fields — often because there is a lack of visible role models to inspire them,” explains Sonja Däumer, Trainee and Dual Student Management & Employer Branding at Pfeiffer.

Girls’ Day is an international initiative, with similar programs taking place in more than 30 countries, aimed at inspiring girls to explore future-oriented careers and strengthening gender diversity in technical professions.
