The laboratory offers access to a wide range of leak testing methods, allowing experts to select the most appropriate technology for each application or process. Depending on the testing requirements, helium spraying and sniffing methods, integral vacuum testing, back pressurization (“bombing”) tests, and other established leak detection methods can be evaluated. A broad range of test objects can be examined, including heat exchangers, fuel cell stacks, valves, mechanical components, sensors, medical devices, hermetically sealed products and more. The new laboratory features generous space, numerous testing stations, and dedicated areas for different leak detection technologies. Multiple test systems can be operated in parallel, enabling flexibility and efficiency when supporting customer projects. The laboratory’s location directly at the Asslar site also facilitates close collaboration between application specialists, engineering teams, and customers.In addition to customer-specific testing projects, the Application Laboratory regularly hosts Leak Detection Days. These customer events combine theoretical presentations, practical workshops, live demonstrations, and networking opportunities. Participants gain deeper insights into current leak testing technologies and best practices while exchanging experiences directly with Pfeiffer specialists and other industry professionals.
